The Minor changes in looks: tailights moved up from bumper, and in the front the grilles got a new look, and the Endura bumper lost its Pontiac Logo. Parking lights didn't wrap around but were square with a chromed "cross" in the middle.
The loss of vent windows gave the car a more clean apperance. Vinyl roofs were very popular, almost 1 out of 2 had them.

If change in bodystyle wasn't that big, more happened under the hood. Three new engine options were avaible, the Ram Air III, IV and V.The RA-V was never realy a "known" option, but rather an "over the counter, if u knew about it" option. The RA V was a real stormer, rated at 425 HP, but less than 500 were built, and most of them didn't see the streets. The RA IV was more common but still rare. It came with roundport heads, forged pistoins and an aluminum manifold. PMD rated it at 370 HP, very underrated to satisfy the insurance companies!

A new budget GTO was planned for '69 to meet the stiff competition from Roadrunners and other "budget-racers". When it finally hit the market it was a hi-priced option, called "the Judge". Judges came with a RA III engine, Rally II wheels without trim rings, special striping and a rear deck spoiler. The first 5000 Judges were painted Carousel Red.
But the market for musclecars was declining, due to high insurance rates and competition from cars like the Firebird. From 1969 until the end in 1974 sales dropped every year.
