1973

The chrome bumper was back for the first time since 1967, with an all new body and frame. Still being an option to the Lemans, the GTO hadn't much to its name.
Some GTO decals on the body, blacked out grille, hoodscoops and dual exhaust.Gone were the quad headlights and most of the engine options. Standard setup was a 400" with a 3 speed manual transmission delivering 230 H.P. net. Less than 500 cars was equipped with the 455", and even more rare are the few cars ordered with the Ram Air option.
Along with the Rally II's and honeycombs, you could order the plain disk wheel with "baby moons" hubcaps. Two different body styles were available: Coupe and SportsCoupe. The only difference being that the Sport Coupe had louvers on the roof panel.
